About Cogniciti

Cogniciti was formed in 2010 to help reshape the world of brain health.

Our point of difference: a focus on and expertise in cognitive science. Cogniciti's majority owner, Baycrest, is the world's leader in the study of memory and aging. Our minority owner, MaRS, is a Canadian leader in converting science and technology research into practical solutions. Our mission is to use our expertise to bring brain health solutions to people, businesses, and governments around the globe.

These solutions are badly needed. To help the millions of adults with significant memory concerns get earlier assessment, diagnosis and treatment. To help the tens of millions of adults with normal memory loss find peace-of-mind and effective coping tools. To help family caregivers better support loved ones with dementia. And to help keep cognitive healthcare affordable through science and technology innovations.

We're producing results. Like our online, clinically researched brain health assessment that will let adults answer the question, "Is my memory normal or should I see my doctor?" And our brain health website that helps adults find the brain health information they need. Tens of thousands of adults have visited our website and more than 40,000 have taken the assessment. These numbers grow every day.

Support for our work has been terrific. In 2012 we were the healthcare solution winner at MaRS’s Innovation Showcase and a handful of innovations showcased by Microsoft at the Global Health Conference. We’ve been awarded major development grants from both the Canadian and Ontario governments. Attracted more than 1,000 volunteers to our research programs. And have been had extensive media coverage in newspapers, websites, TV, and radio. To view some of the coverage please visit our Newsroom.
